"We don't need no stinking notices" (to paraphase from Treasure of Sierra Madre :-)
After all, the 7 days called out in the 'bylaws'...
"they aren't laws, they are just guidelines"
(quoting from a recent 'former chair').
Oregon public meeting law requires that public bodies provide "constructive" notice of the time, place, and agenda for meetings. This crew has chaffed at the need to actually let people know when they are getting together to pontificate, ego inflate, and generally waste time for self aggrandizement.
For the second April 2010 meeting, they seem to have taken a new tactic:
"Hmm, well, if we have to do it, lets do early, do it often"!
- the Mountain Times states "April 8, 2010"
- the Fire Station reader board states "April 8, 2010"
- County web site states: "April 22, 2010" - in two places!
- the Darned's web site states: "April 15, 2010" in two places!
(hmmm, tax day? A Freudian message there?)
So, people of the Darned, just when is your time wasting meeting?
How can the County Liaison believe she is doing a "good job" as the project wallows in the mud?
Why don't the Commissioners take action as their great concept slides towards its "train wreck" and the potential for the electorate to wreak revenge?
They weren't totally evil,
